The Supply Room, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking an experienced Emotional and Behavioural Support Specialist to join a primary school in Wood Green starting in January 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of children in Key Stage 1.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide emotional and behavioural support to students in KS1, promoting a positive learning environment
- Implement strategies and interventions to address social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized support plans
- Conduct assessments and observations to identify and assess the needs of students
- Deliver targeted interventions and support sessions in both one-on-one and small group settings
- Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/guardians
- Liaise with external agencies, such as educational psychologists and social workers, as needed
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and promoting self-esteem and resilience
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a school setting
- Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
- Resilience, patience, and a calm demeanour when dealing with challenging situations
- Relevant qualifications or training in areas such as child psychology, counselling, or special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable
