We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is an integral part of the finance function, supporting the Management Accountant and Head of Finance in providing high quality management informationto budget managers in a timely and accurate manner.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- To assist in the preparation monthly management accounts and reports for budget managers to full Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet & Cashflow, providing detailed variance analysis on a monthly basis.
- Undertake monthly review of balance sheet control accounts.
- Assist with monthly budget manager meetings with all budget managers, reviewing year to date expenditure, and re-forecasting year-end position
- Assist the Management accountant with the preparation of the Budget annually.
- Liaise with external auditors as part of the year-end audit process, meeting the strict deadlines in place to allow sign off, of final accounts in a timely manner

- Qualified (AAT), part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Experience of completing assisting the preparation of Management Accounts / Statutory including accruals/prepayments, posting monthly journals etc.
- Competent financial background, that can break down the barriers between finance and the rest of the organisation, able to speak finance to non-finance minded staff.
- We are looking for an individual that is keen to provide a high quality service to other areas of the organisation, taking pride in their work and representing the Finance function in a professional manner.
