**Position Overview**: As a Deli Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in the heart of our operations. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, hospitality services, and assisting customers in our bustling shop. **Key Duties**:

- Prepare and serve a delightful array of deli products, such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Assist customers in making informed choices and provide recommendations
- Skillfully slice cheeses to customer specifications
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the deli area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a deli or food service setting is preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed

**Additional Information**:

- Working hours: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm (Monday to Friday) OR 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
- Salary: Commensurate with experience and skills brought to the role
- Driving license is useful but not essential
- Barista skills are a plus
- Team player mentality is essential
- Smart, presentable appearance and strong communication skills are key
