**About the Opportunity**

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

We are recruiting for an MEH Quality Internal Auditor to undertake audits to ensure that arrangements being used within the MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC) Alliance are fit for purpose and being followed.

The MEH Quality Delivery Teams are responsible for ensuring the ‘Intelligent Customer’ quality arrangements are in place, effectively implemented by the supply chain, and monitoring of compliance by functional teams, in order for the effective control of manufacturing and installation activities across the HPC delivery programmes.

The delivery of the Hinkley Point C Project is split across six programmes of works to which the Quality Department provides quality related services. Quality Delivery Managers in each programme specify their needs and monitor service performance to the other functional department managers accountable for project delivery. Key responsibilities will be:

- Conduct/lead MEH Internal Audits, incorporating system based auditing and Subject Matter Expert technical review at the suppliers’ premises or HPC site
- Produce formal reports of the Audit assessments in INSIGHT and manage all follow up/verification activities to close out associated Action Plans
- Interact cross-functionally with project delivery team members, leads and management
- Ensure compliance with HPC and MEH Management Systems within all sections of the MEH Programme and MEH Alliance
- Undertake actions to resolve issues relating to management system Compliance and to bring about improvements, and support others in these actions
- Ensure the adequacy and preparedness of Joint Venture (JV) Partners, contractors and other parties engaged in or proposed for the undertaking of works within the MEH Scope
- Ensure quality management processes are correctly applied

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Qualified in an Engineering discipline; ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent experience)
- Auditor qualification (certificate of training from a recognised body)
- Preferred membership of Chartered Quality Institute and auditor trained and certified ISO 9001:2015 by a recognised body (IRCA)
- Academic background or understanding of Quality Management, including best practise for deployment by large, complex, and contract-led organisations
- Solution based mindset, able to influence and provide constructive challenge which is accepted by others and to provide support to the implementation of practical solutions
- A team player who recognises how their position impacts and influences others
- Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative
- Previous experience in being progressively responsible Quality or Engineering positions
