Production Supervisor

The Vehicle Group is Europes leading maufacturer and supplier of Commercial Vehicle Safety & Security Systems. We work with some of the biggest names in the Fleet Industry in the UK and overseas.

Our Catterick HQ is home to our Production & Warehouse Facility. We have a requirement for an experienced and engaging production supervisor to mentor and lead the team of operatives.

The production facility is where we manufacture and test our wiring harnesses, produce PCBs, and hand build a range of our technology. We are looking for someone who has worked in a traditional production environment that is labour intensive. Experience of electronic assembly would be a real advantage.

Familiarity working to Bill of Materials, schematics and engineering drawings is required for this role.

You will be joining us as we go on a journey of modernisation which includes the implementation of a new ERP system and electronic station build instructions. Someone who is a positive influencer of change is required.

You will be used to working with KPIs in a Right First Time environment.

Your day will typically include;
- Host a morning team brief
- Allocate work
- Manage the completion and sign off of jobs
- Deal with any issues in build
- Coach and mentor operatives to improve skills and training records
- Support any HR issues sickness, absence, lateness etc
- Produce better working methods and work with the Prodction Manager to improve the performance of the department
- Deputise for the Production Manager in his absence
- Support with day to day hands on tasks when time critical builds are in swing.

Experience as a Production Supervisor is prefered but this role could suit an experienced Team Leader looking for career progression opportunities. The role is Monday to Friday day shift.
