Global Manufacturing Supplies is a supply chain management company that specialises in the source and supply of bespoke manufactured components that are manufactured in China. We are a £9m turnover, family owned company that has been in business for more than 25 years and know that it is a nice place to work.

Due to increased business, the need has arisen for a Supply Chain Administrator / Customer Coordinator.

With the organisation only being a small team of 18 people, the job role will require a diverse range of skills to be successful however full training will be given where necessary.

We are looking for a team player with a friendly personality who ideally has experience working within production planning or material scheduling.

The main roles and responsibilities of the role include;
- Usage of our SAGE 200 operating system in to process purchase orders and sales orders and to track inbound deliveries as well as use many other integral functions.
- Creation of inbound container manifests using SAGE 200.
- Assisting our freight forwarder with customs clearance of suppliers product.
- Liaising with customers to make sure their requirements are being met and being proactive to solve any potential problems and / or delays.
- Organisation of outbound deliveries with the warehouse team.
- Supporting the logistics controller in day to day activities.
- Supporting the operations manager in day to day activities.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Education to A-level or higher in logistics and / or supply chain management is preferable but not essential.
- Experience of working within a supply chain management or engineering organisation.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills especially Microsoft excel.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Understanding of management of stock in order to appropriately meet customer demands.
- Understanding of timescales associated with Chinese manufacture and shipping via sea freight.
- Excellent communicator with a positive and professional attitude.

With Global Manufacturing Supplies being a small team, the need for work completely outside of this description may also be required on an ad hoc basis.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 14:30 although start and end times can be flexible dependent on other commitments. 1 day per week can be worked from home once the initial training period has been completed.

Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus bank holidays plus 1 day extra to be taken within a week of your birthday.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
