Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

A part time temporary position has come available in Sefton Magistrates Court
Temporary Contract for 3 months with the view to extend
3 days to be discussed - Office Hours
22.5 hrs per week
Pay rate £10.42 per hour
Job Role - Court Usher

Collecting and delivering files and bundles to the judiciary and clerks ensuring they have the necessary papers
Providing support to colleagues & judiciary outside of court / hearing times
Operating recording equipment and maintaining records of recordings of hearings
Preparing rooms for hearings, tribunals, trials, meetings and clearing the court / hearing room down at the end of the day etc.
Support to team, dealing with general Customer Service enquiries for both Crown and Magistrates. Reception duties. Dealing with Correspondence. General office duties. There may be some CVP (video link hosting). Training will be given on all aspects of the role

**Typical qualifications and experience**: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
