A role has come available to be the yard host at Deptford Market Yard, a fantastic development of cafes, restaurants and bars in South East London. Appear Here have been working to transform the area into a place people want to visit and spend time at, including adding new covered seating areas, new toilets, lighting, additional planting, and flags designed by local school children.

As the yard host you will be the first point of contact for brands and visitors, so need to bring enthusiasm, be friendly and approachable. You will also be the first point of call for issues that arise on the yard, from ensuring the day to day works are undertaken such as cleaning and waste removal, to coordinating repair works should they occur. We therefore require somebody who can deal with contractors and make things happen quickly to ensure the yard is always looking its best.

**Requirements**:

- Be the face of Appear Here and represent the site
- Bring enthusiasm to work with existing and new brands to create a place people love coming to and being a part of.
- Be based near the yard and available as the first point of contact for brands, customers, external contractors and visitors.
- Conduct viewings with potential new brands on the yard.
- Coordinate and oversee filming on the yard.
- Coordinate and oversee events on the yard - weekend and possible night markets,
- Undertake a morning daily vibe check - is DMY tidy, are the canopies in the seating structures out, are the heater working in winter, have the brands set up their tables within them and on the yard properly, are the toilets locked, clean and have supplies, is there any new graffiti or posters that shouldn’t be there?
- If issues arise then be able to quickly respond, contacting the relevant people and coordinating until the issue is resolved.
- Be the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the bin store is functioning properly, clean and tidy.
- Be the point of contact for external contractors on site undertaking routine and planned maintenance works. Give access as necessary and be on hand to answer any queries they may have.
