Here at Oldham we provide general paediatric, paediatric surgery, paediatric high dependency and children's observation and assessment nursing opportunities. We have a light, bright bespoke unit and a friendly and welcoming team.
**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients. As a nursing associate you will assist in the management and organisation of work as required, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support for junior staff. You will be supported to develop your paediatric practice identifying and building on your own clinical interests.

- Registered Nursing Associate with current NMC registration

- Diploma / Degree in relevant field
- Involvement in teaching

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:

- Demonstrates evidence based clinical knowledge
- IT Skills
- Communicates succinctly, clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
- Be an effective team member who is able to relate to colleagues at all levels of the Trust with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to coordinate your workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care
- Knowledge of current paediatric practices

- Experience of the use of clinical systems
- Demonstrate initiative to proactively problem solve with a solution focus
- Ability to use reflective practice, to continuously improve the standard of patient care
