**Senior Corporate Governance Manager**

I am working with an NHS Trust on the South Coast who are seeking to recruit a Corporate Governance Manager for 3 months.

**_As Senior Corporate Governance Manager some of your key responsibilities include:_**
- In association with the Chairman, Chief Executive and Chief of Staff plan the business of the Board and its Committees on an annual basis to ensure that the decision making process is co-ordinated and predictable and information on Board business is madeavailable to the organisation and other relevant bodies.
- In conjunction with the Executive Team, and under the oversight of the Chief of Staff, take the lead role in reporting strategic risk and assurance using the Board's Assurance Framework, in order that the Board can manage and monitor all aspects of strategicrisk within the Trust.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Internal Auditor and Local Counter Fraud Specialist and liaise with Executives/Senior Management to ensure timely responses to audit findings and provision of updates on progress against audit actions.
- Oversee the effective management of conflicts of interest, including providing informed and appropriate advice to Trust staff, protecting their reputations and that of the Trust.
- Ensure that corporate assurance documentation is consistent and up to date.
- Oversee effective use of the Trust's seal.
- Support the appointment and induction of non-executive director, and act as a key contact for the non-executive directors.

**Experience & Skills required**
- Previous relevant experience in a corporate governance environment, preferably the NHS
- Management experience at a senior level alongside extensive Experience of report writing
- Experience of working with and influencing senior staff, and of providing credible advice to colleagues
- Experience of risk management/assurance in the NHS and the purpose, structure and content of Board Assurance Frameworks
- Degree or equivalent experience in risk management/corporate governance, preferably within the NHS
