working evenings and some weekends 5x 4hrs shifts
- 5pm-9pm during the week and 4pm-8pm Saturdays 1pm
- 5pm Sundays

**Job Purpose**

Ensure a clean, safe and friendly environment by maintaining the cleanliness of the mall areas.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

The following is a list of your primary duties and responsibilities. Please remember that you are part of a larger CCS at Meadowhall team that the list below is not exhaustive, and we should therefore be willing to help and assist all our colleagues in other teams at any time.
- Cleaning of malls, toilets and surrounding areas. Cleaning of the Oasis and back-of-house areas when required.
- Deep cleaning as per schedule and any other duties deemed appropriate to the skills of the individual
- Providing optimal customer services to all key stakeholders - recognising that the public, retail tenants and colleagues are all customers.

**Communication and interpersonal skills**
- Liaise and communicate with line managers and other operatives on day-to-day cleaning matters. Inform line managers of any problems arising.
- Communication with customers and retailers if required for centre-orientated queries and/or problems.

**Problem solving and decision making**
- Required to understand and put into practice the safe operation of cleaning equipment and use of chemicals according to training undertaken and procedures provided, with an awareness of the manufactures’ instructions and COSHH regulations.
- Decide when to replace toilet supplies according to set procedures.
- Decide when to report suspected pest infestation, machinery breakdowns or faults with building, furniture or fixtures and fittings.

**Working Conditions**

Required to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals in mall areas and toilets, disabled toilets, baby changing and feeding rooms, sluice rooms and storerooms. Empty and clean bins when required. Predominantly work internally but may also be required to work externally as instructed. The role will require manual handling, working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
