This is an exciting opportunity to make the most of your quality assurance skills. As a Quality Assurance Officer at the General Medical Council (GMC), you’ll champion our commitment to quality, continually raise standards and help to shape and deliverour Quality Development and Assurance Strategy.You’ll work with a team of dedicated quality professionals to conduct audits and reviews of GMC processes, to not only reinforce standards and protect patient safety, but also to identify opportunities to improvehow we do our work and celebrate where we do it best.About the General Medical CouncilWe’re the regulator for doctors in the UK. We help to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors.We support them in achieving and exceeding those standards and take action when they are not met.About the rolePutting your QA expertise into action, you’ll carry out audits and reviews of our casework, decisions, processes and procedures. This role will involveimplementing different tools and techniques.Analysing information and data, you’ll prepare reports, review findings and recommend ways we can do things even better. Advising on best practice and providing an excellent QA service to your colleagues, you’llalso lead meetings and provide clear guidance and support.With a good understanding of risk management, you should be able to make sound proposals and clearly communicate complex issues.
