**An opportunity has arisen for a registered Social Worker with a Best Interest Assessor (BIA) qualification to undertake the role of Coordinator within the Bristol City Council Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team.**

The DoLS team consists of a core team of BIAs who carry out the majority of the DoLS assessments for Bristol City Council. As a DoLS Coordinator, you will support the BIAs with their role.

The administrative tasks of the service are carried out by DoLS Officers and you will be involved in overseeing their work and contributing to effective service operation.

You will be supported by the Team Manager and the other DoLS Coordinators in the team.

The DoLS Coordinator role involves the prioritisation, allocation, and scrutiny of assessment work, ensuring legal compliance and carrying out quality assurance. You will provide reflective supervision to staff in the DoLS team and provide guidance and advice to the wider Adult Care workforce and external stakeholders, in matters relating to MCA and DoLS.

You will be responsible for the induction and training of new starters.
