**We’re** looking for a Lead Content Designer for the Customer Experience team**

You’ll be setting strategies to make sure content is joined up and meets users’ holistic needs across multiple user journeys.

You will make complex information and processes easy to understand and follow.

You’ll make sure the content DWP publishes meets users’ needs and the department’s goals.

You’ll work with and influence senior stakeholders while working across product, service, and departmental lines to make sure we deliver consistently for our users.

**Job description**:
A lead content designer is an expert practitioner with experience of large-scale and complex content projects. They assure the quality of content design across teams and its alignment to departmental goals. Using research data and other evidence, they translate user needs into content strategy across digital and non-digital services.

A lead content designer works closely with service managers, programme directors and other senior stakeholders to help to resource teams, resolve problems and develop future strategy.

They are an advocate for best practice in content design, leading on cross-cutting content projects and keeping up to date with industry changes.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Provide expert advice and guidance to develop content strategy across digital and non-digital services that meets user needs and achieves business objectives.
- Champion user-centred content design at a senior level and promote the use of the best tools and methods, including using qualitative and quantitative data to help improve services.
- Translate user research outcomes into content requirements communicating those requirements to multidisciplinary teams
- Establish style guidelines and other standards to provide high quality content.
- Lead on the development of the content design community within the Shared Channels team, for example coaching and mentoring. It may also include managing a team of senior content designers.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. **Salary Information**

Salary for this role is from £66,860 (Band min) to £74,392 (Band max).
