Handyman (13581495)

**General Overview**:
This role is to act on any jobs that come through to the service desk. You will work closely with the Technical Services Lead and take on any roles they require you to do. These can range from general maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and adhoc cleaning jobs. If any jobs cannot be completed, you must communicate to the Technical Services Lead so the relevant contractor can be contacted. The Maintenance Assistant will also have to complete certain PPMs and keep their storage room clean and tidy.

**Details**:

- 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, £13 per hour

**Complexity**:

- Vending Machine Daily Checks & Weekly Clean Down
- Effluent Plant Maintenance Including Chemical Level Checks
- Weekly Canteen Furniture Checks & Repairs Where Necessary
- Daily Red Tag Area Checks - Any Damaged Furniture / Assets that require repair
- Ladder Inspections
- Daily Plumbing Requirements
- Complex Building Work, Walls, Paths & Roadways
- Factory Line Painting
- Decorating
- Carpentry, Including Building DDA Compliant Ramps
- Day to Day Site Maintenance Requirements
- Work Towards GMP & FDA Regulations
- Weekly Emergency & Eye Wash Station Flush
- Hourly Temp readings and logging on cooling supply & return pipework.
- Hourly Pressure logs on cooling supply and return pipework

The Maintenance Assistant should be able to work on their own or in a team but must be able to turn their hand to many types of jobs and know when it is the right time to call in contractors.

**Qualifications or Required Experience**:

- Someone who has previous experience and can show that they have dealt with a number of Office/Housing/Factory type maintenance requirements
