**The Company**: Sunderland Home Care Associates 20/20 Ltd is an award-winning employee-owned company with an ethos of People Before Profit. It began in 1994 with 18 staff and now has over 250 staff all of whom are employee owners of the company. All staff receive free shares in the company. We provide a variety of Care and Support services as well as running a Community Café and a Training Contracts department.

**The Role**: You will be one of our large group of dedicated Team Leaders within our large Independent Futures Learning Disability Team.

As a Team Leader, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of staff delivering care and support to people within supported living services covering the Sunderland area. You will normally be responsible for one house that may have one or more service user's living there.

You’ll support the staff teams in your service to deliver the best care and support possible, ensuring that people fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion, and control.

You will be supported by and work as directed by our LD Support Managers and our LD Service Manager in the daily running & management of the service.

You will be contracted for 150 hours over every 4-week pay period. You must be able to work very flexibly including weekends/evenings and overnights to ensure our services are operationally protected.

**Salary & Benefits**:£21,060 annually. Other benefits include free shares in the company, eligibility for staff bonuses, pension scheme, double time on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, extra holidays for long serving staff and working for a company that values people above profit.

**The Location**: You will be required to travel to and from work at various locations and sites as determined by the needs of the business. This will usually be the home of any service user that has been assigned to you however it may be for other locations in any of the relevant services offered by the company.

**You will ideally**:

- have experience of leading and developing staff teams in a social care environment that supports people with learning disabilities.
- have experience of working in a supervisory role such as Team Leader or Senior Support Worker.
- have an NVQ Level 3 or QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- demonstrate a passion for supporting people to achieve their goals
- have a good working knowledge of person-centred support, support planning, needs and risk assessment, safeguarding, first line supervision & health and safety.
