Strutural Engineer

The **Energy Division** at **ARM** are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Engineersto join our client, who are an established Global Contractor, specialising in the Offshore & Onshore Energy Sector.

**Location**: London/Surrey area

**Role Type**:Approx. 12 month contract

**Rate**: Negotiable p/d - **OUTSIDE IR35**

**What your role will look like**:

- To Perform and be Responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in company standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).
- Ideally to have relevant analytical experience in other relevant offshore structural engineering analysis software ANSYS used for detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.
- Perform detailed design calculations in accordance with current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
- Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design.
- Prepare high-quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with the company's policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company procedures.

**What software will you be using?**
- SACS
- STAAD
- ANSYS
- GT STRUDL

**What do you need to succeed?**
- BEng, M.Eng, or M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar. Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
- Relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality Structural Engineering.
