**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to develop comprehensive estimates, considering materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Prepare and present detailed estimates, including breakdowns of costs, to management and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, cost data, and project documentation.
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological advancements to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the interior fit-out sector, with a focus on commercial or residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
**Location and Salary**:
This position is located in Newry, The salary range for this role is £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
