**Nicholls and Clarke** are currently looking for a **part-time Retail Sales Assistant** to join their **successful team**, based **in Coventry**.

Founded in 1875 **Nicholls and Clarke Group are a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of building materials throughout the UK**. We have a committed team of over **450 people** supplying building materials to the **trade and retail markets**

This exciting opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in bathroom / tile sales, looking to take the next step in their career.

The role requires a person with a proven track record of working in a **retail environment**, preferably within the bathroom or tile industry, but could suit **an ex-plumber or fitter **with **people & sales skills**, and a desire to succeed in a different area of the industry.

The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of duties including being part of the sales team, in addition to a range of administration tasks and stock management.

**Key Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Achieving personal sales and store targets across set KPI’s
- Delivering world class customer service
- Following all in store procedures
- Order and payment processing
- General stock control including lifting and handling of heavy stock
- Maintaining cleanliness and store POS
- Cleaning the showroom

**Key Knowledge and Skills requirements**:

- Bathroom and/or tile retail sales experience is a great help
- An understanding of Epos or General systems
- Ability to work with Word, Excel
- Needs to possess a high attention to detail necessary for processing customer orders/quotations
- Ability to persuade and influence customers, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, must possess strong organizational skills
