**About us**

The Nest is an independently owned Café bar in Barnes, that opened in March 2022. The owner Kathryn, wanted to create a space for both customers and employees to enjoy simultaneously. Our ethos is to provide a cosy ‘nest’ for people where they can enjoy the home-comforts, while incorporating the feeling of being out in nature.

At the Nest, we are aiming to offer the people of Barnes something completely new. We act as a shopfloor for other small businesses like ours. The plants, lighting, tableware, and artwork are constantly changing, as is the food and drinks offerings. We have a small staple all day menu and regularly changing specials during the day, and offer organic teas, cold-pressed juices and use a small family-run roastery for our coffee.

We are open Friday and Saturday evenings for Seasonal Dinner and Cocktail Menu, combining flavours and dishes from the Middle East, Asia and Latin America, for an innovative, colourful and exciting menu. We use local suppliers and seasonal British produce for our menus, where we aim to have our customers sharing plates, sipping cocktails, and leaving with full tummies and a smile.

**What we look for in a Person**

This role is for an all rounder. We are looking for someone that has experience in customer service, and a passion and experience with cocktails. Someone that has worked in a Supervisor position before would be ideal. Someone that is bubbly, friendly, able to make cocktails and work on the floor alike. We are looking for someone for a long-term position, that is available to work Friday and Saturday evenings, but is also flexible with day times (coffee experience is preferred).
- Have experience championing excellent service through impeccable customer service
- To be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Be comfortable with changing menus, and able to learn and recite these on a regular basis
- Be an active hands-on team player with a good set of core skills as a Cocktail bartender
- Previous knowledge and use of POS systems preferred, however training can be provided
- Be tidy (we like things kept clean)
- Be confident, and not afraid to express new ideas
- Share our belief in a strictly no-blame culture

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£12.50 per hour
