Are you a Private Client Legal Director who is ready for Partnership?

Here at Interlink we are working with an independent regional law firm in the West Midlands who is seeking a talented associate to join their team as a Legal Director or Partner.

Your responsibilities and abilities:

- Review existing estate planning documentation, including lifetime trusts
- Preparation of all types of wills to include wills to absorb qualifying business assets and agricultural assets and a good understanding of the role of trusts for asset protection purposes
- You will possess an excellent working knowledge of inheritance tax
- You will possess a good understanding of capital gains tax in the context of individuals and trusts
- Preparation and advising in connection with Lasting Powers of Attorney and old style Enduring Powers of Attorney.
- Some experience of dealing with Lasting Powers of Attorney for business owners would be an advantage.
- Dealing with termination of trusts to include when a life tenant dies, the coming of age of a beneficiary or another event ensuring that all trust closing procedures are followed together with the preparation of deeds of variation

About you:

- Be STEP qualified or an equivalent (or working towards)
- You will have a strong profile, network and established reputation
- You will have a full breadth of Private Client experience with a specific focus moving forward on wealth preservation activities
