**Data Solution Architect - Birmingham/Remote - £76K - £115K + Benefits**

Our client is as passionate about their employees as they are about data solutions, and they have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Solution Architect to join their vibrant and growing team. This role would be hybrid, with occasional visits to eithertheir Birmingham or London office (Dependant on your location).

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Solution Architect, you will act as an authoritative figure for a multi-skilled team, sharing your knowledge and providing solid technical and thought leadership and mentoring to design and deliver contemporary data solutions.
- You will manage a small number of staff, providing coaching and mentoring to maximise employee performance and development, solving complex problems as a team.
- You will work closely with Customer Architects to agree on functional and non-functional designs, and then successfully implement them
- You will also work collaboratively with the Ops and Infrastructure Architects to produce robust data solutions within your estimated timelines.
- You will be responsible for advising, questioning and informing the customer on sound solution design outcomes.

Essential experience to be a successful Data Solutions Architect
- Must have 5 years’ experience as a Data Solutions Architect or similar role, leading teams with ownership of complex systems.
- Must have proven hands-on experience in one of more of Python, Scala or Java.
- Must have proven hands-on experience of deploying data processing platforms (AWS, Databricks, Azure, GCP)
- Must have extensive working knowledge and integration of full spectrum data technologies (data ingestion, transformation, storage, presentation and consumption).
- Must have a proven track record in all aspects of Strategic design, including problem conceptualisation, approach and roadmap definition, architecture realisation and risk management.
- Must be comfortable with all concepts of traditional and modern data.
- Good working experience of Technical Evaluation and product selection would be desirable.
- Good Knowledge of greater Data Architecture concepts would be ideal, for example, Masking, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Provenance and Lineage.
- Good working knowledge of data integration techniques (Messaging, Queuing, data visualisation or change data capture) would also be ideal.
