**NPD Technologist**

**Company Overview**: Bridge Cheese is a dynamic and innovative Food Manufacturing company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence in the cheese industry. We are currently expanding our team to include the role of an NPD Technologist to contribute and support our innovation and NPD pipeline.

**Position Overview**: As NPD Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in our business focusing on various aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and Research Development. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, agreeing briefs to product trials and evaluations to engaging with production planning, supply chain, customers, and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Briefs**
- Working closely with our Sales team to agree market and customer led NPD briefs.
- Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team contributing to the innovation process, bringing creative ideas and solutions to the table.

2. **New Product Trials**:

- Conducting trials for new products, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute successful trials.

3. **Trial Preparations**:

- Planning and organizing trial logistics, including ingredient sourcing and equipment setup.

4. **Liaising with Production Planning and Supply Chain**:

- Coordinating closely with production planning and supply chain teams to optimize efficiency and ensure seamless integration of new products.

5. **Evaluations of Products**:

- Conducting thorough evaluations of trial products, providing valuable insights for improvement.

6. **Liaising with Customers and Suppliers**:

- Engaging with customers on-site for feedback and insights.
- Collaborating with suppliers on new product development and sourcing.

7. **Product Re-engineering Process**:

- Collaborating with teams to re-engineer and enhance existing products for continuous improvement.

8. **Discussion and Planning Meetings**:

- Participating in meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and strategic planning.

9. **Scaling Up Production**:

- Managing the scaling up of production from smaller batches to full-scale production.

10.**Documenting & Reporting**:

- Maintaining detailed records of trials, evaluations, and other relevant processes.
- Generating comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.

11.**Other Duties as Required**:

- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to various aspects of the NPD process.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Passion for innovation and new product development.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
