My client are currently recruiting for a Trainee/Junior Accountant to work within their small team based in Bassingbourn.
Your main duties will include accounts preparation, tax work including VAT returns, CIS returns, CT600’s and Self Assessments. Along with purchase and sales ledger. You will also be used to working to deadlines.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Preparation, completion and submission of client accounts (Limited, sole trader and partnership)
- Undertaking bookkeeping for clients
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Company and Self Assessment Tax Returns
- CIS returns
- Dealing with client queries
**Requirements**:
- Knowledge of Sage, Taxcalc, Xero, Quickbooks desirable
- Good Data entry skills
- Experience of working in practice
- Good double entry bookkeeping skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work part of a team
