**About us**

Jigsaw Arts Wandsworth is a performing arts school for children aged 3-18 in Wandsworth, London. We are professional and innovative, caring and supportive to our students, and really believe in creating 'A Place To Belong' for all at Jigsaw Arts.

As the Drama Teacher, you will be teaching 3x one hour sessions of Drama to the different age groups of students. (7-8 year olds, 9-11 year olds 12+ year olds).

The primary responsibility of the Drama Teacher is to teach students aged 7-8, 9-11 and 12+. Conducting Drama games, activities, cast and devising the material for the end of term show or presentation. Teachers must be fun and enthusiastic as well as fantastic communicators with a great passion for the arts and teaching.

**Responsibilities**:
Instruct and teach students in all aspects of Drama including but not limited to:

- Basic to advanced level of knowledge on teaching drama
- Must be able to work with students aged 7-18.
- Take into consideration the different ability levels of students
- Maintain a fun and safe classroom environment at all times
- Follow all health and safety regulations and proper wear standards
- Devise 3 pieces for the end of term show / presentation
- Have a great attitude
- Help create 'A Place To Belong' for our students

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Drama teacher or professional dancer
- Experience with working with children aged 7 - 18.
- Strong knowledge of various Drama styles, such as devising, monologues, improv, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate Drama techniques to students
- Experience working with students of different ages and skill levels

**Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience and the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Creativity in creating drama scenes and adapting the script to different skill levels
- Strong organisational skills to plan lessons, rehearsals, and performances
- Ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive and encouraging manner

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £70.00 per day

Expected hours: 4 per week
