**Job purpose**

We are seeking an exceptional individual to support our 1st team physical performance delivery.

Duties will include the delivery of; warm-ups/activation, speed/agility development, strength/power

development, conditioning and recovery sessions. Additionally, this role will have responsibilities for

supporting players transitioning from academy to 1st team, monitoring players’ weekly physical loads

and advising on individual players’ specific physical needs to ensure seamless progression towards

the 1st Team. This element of the role will also require the post-holder to effectively communicate

with loan club’s and players (whilst out on loan) and feed this information back to our Loan’s

Department.

**Key responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of warm-ups/activation, speed/agility, strength/power development,

conditioning and recovery sessions with the 1st team.
- Assist with the collection of 1st team sport science and monitoring data including, but not

limited to; GPS, physical assessments & morning wellness questionnaires / physical markers.
- Lead and assist with S&C aspects of rehabilitation for players as directed by Head of Physical

Performance.
- Gym-based programming for individual players as guided by the Head of Physical

Performance.
- Collecting physical testing data at the appropriate times and supporting the development of

the individual development plans for all players.
- Contribute to projects that are part of the wider development of the performance

department and actively contribute to the in-house CPD programme.
- Assist with the collection of 1st team and loan players physical data, for monitoring and

benchmarking purposes.
- Provide weekly reports on loan players at appropriate meetings, conveying the players

physical training and match loads and future plans for such players.
- Liaise with loan club’s sports scientist, communicating loan player’s physical needs, i.e.

strength requirements, training & match loads and a player’s progression.
- Visiting loan players and the sport scientist at their respective loan clubs training ground

when required, as agreed by Head of Physical Performance.
