Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with sensory impairments, such as deafblindness or visual impairments
- Facilitate communication between the individual and their environment
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers or therapists, to develop and implement individualized plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of interventions and progress
**Skills**:
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in sign language or Braille (if applicable)
- Ability to adapt and modify interventions based on the individual's unique needs and preferences
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working with individuals with sensory impairments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome barriers to communication and independence
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, documentation, and resources effectively
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 5 months
**Salary**: £38.00-£40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
