Childcare Apprenticeship

We are looking for a fun, motivated individual to join our team. We have child care settings within 2 schools in Caerphilly, offering wrap around care, after school club and holiday club.

Responsibilities and Key Duties

We a busy business, offering wrap around care, after school club and holiday club within three schools. We are looking for an Apprentice Play worker to join our team and work towards gaining their NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Childcare.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Childcare Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by a Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.hours will be Monday - Friday This is a temporary position for the duration of the Apprenticeship with the possibility of a permanent position, you will also have the opportunity to do other courses alongside this qualification to include first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding, and behavior management.

Personal qualities:Enthusiastic about working with children, have professional attitude with colleagues and parents and other professionals in the setting: polite, patient, punctual, diligent, trustworthy, and reliable creative and welsh speaking an advantage:
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role. You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.

Ensure that children are kept safe, and maintain highly professional working relationships with the staff and other agencies that may visit the setting. Ensure the general cleanliness of the environment at all times.Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures e.g. fire precautions, security, dropping off and collection of children

Applicants will be shortlisted and Interviews and working Interviews will take place.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Apprenticeship
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £6.50-£7.50 per hour
