- ENG198424The activities within this work will focus on using materials discovery (High Throughput Digital Lab) to down-select and optimise new CMAS resistant TBC compositions, evaluating different thermal spraying-based processes (including suspension plasma spraying, solution pre-cursor plasma spraying, and other hybrid processes) for the manufacture of new CMAS resistant TBCs, development of thermal spraying process parameter, coating microstructure, and optimisation of the TBC system design to achieve the required performance/properties. You will be working on Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) funded HOTLINE Project (Hot Section Lifing and Materials) with Rolls-Royce Plc.
