An amazing SEN school with excellent facilities and a focus on an individualized approach is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistantto join their expanding team.

The school offers academic and therapeutic provision for students aged 3-19 with Autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties. The curriculum fits around the child, adopting an individualized approach. The school has excellent facilities such as a sensory room, break out spaces and access to outdoor learning.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the children with their learning and wellbeing, to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential, whilst in a safe and caring environment.

You will be supporting the class teacher and help with providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, forming a caring and supportive relationship with pupils is crucial, allowing pupils to feel safe and enable them to enjoy school whilst flourishing in their learning. You will be promoting independence and personal development whilst maintaining a high expectation of behaviour.

- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working with students aged between 3 - 11
- Focus on children with Autism and behavioral and communication difficulties
- Following an individualized approach for each student
- Supporting class teacher and students 1:1
- Full time, long term contract
- £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
- Located in Wandsworth

**Person Specification - SEN Teaching Assistant**
- **Experience working with SEN children - personal or professional**
- Passionate about making a difference for those with SEN
- Reliability and punctuality are a must
- Good understanding of child development and learning processes
- Awareness of safeguarding of children
- Ability to motivate and encourage pupils, inspire a love of learning
- Commitment to high expectations to meet the needs of all pupils with an individualised approach
- Ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers and parents and work well as part of a team
- Ability and confidence to work independently when required
- Strong academic background
- Hardworking, positive attitude, driven and committed
- Resilience and patience for supporting children with SEN
