Join our client as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, contributing to a customer-focused and efficient grounds maintenance service across the district.

**Duties**:

- Perform grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, and litter picking to required standards.
- Inspect and make minor repairs to play areas.
- Maintain cemeteries, including flower beds and gardens of remembrance.
- Plant, weed, dig, hoe, and water flower planters and displays.
- Assist in removing invasive plants and weeds from pathways.
- Conduct prestart checks on vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
- Keep machinery in good working condition, managing logs for mileage and fuel.
- Perform ground-level arboriculture work, including felling small trees.
- Contribute to team performance and maintain high service standards.

**Requirements & Experience**:

- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Previous grounds maintenance experience.
- Full manual driving license (B licence).
- Arboriculture experience, safe use of pesticides, First Aid Certificate, B+E trailer towing.
- Previous similar role experience.
- Experience dealing with customers/public.
- Experience working in various weather conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £13.02-£13.69 per hour
