**About the Service -Treatment & Recovery Services**

Our dedicated treatment and recovery services offer tailored support to help people challenge dependency. We understand that recovery from dependency is a personal process, and we know that it is possible with the support.

At Changing Lives, we recognise that substance dependency is often something that emerges linked to life experiences and we are here to help people explore, make meaning and decide what changes they would like to make moving forward.

We work with people at every stage of their recovery journey. We offer an effective therapeutic support for people, and on-going support as life progresses. We also support people to connect within their communities and to other services that can help with other issues arising, including employment, housing, family relationships, mental health and more.

**About the Job**

This is a unique opportunity and role, where you can make a difference to improve people’s lives. We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, creative and engaging individual to be a Criminal Justice Custody Worker. To engage and support people who are involved within the Criminal Justice System and who are experiencing substance and/or alcohol issues. To provide advice, encourage and enable people to access a wide range of Recovery Orientated Support with the aim of engaging people in treatment, recovery and reducing reoffending.

Within this new and exciting opportunity, the Criminal Justice Custody Worker will be an integral member of the custody team within Middle Engine Lane police station. Working with individuals which have committed a drug-related offence, providing harm reduction advice and referrals into treatment.

The psychosocial interventions will be trauma informed and trauma specific, whilst utilising the strengths of the individual. Such an approach will enable people to make positive changes to their lives.

This role will include being based in at Middle engine Lane police station, office, outreach support within the community and open to our agile working policy. Therefore, you will need to be able to work effectively, independently and as a virtual team, whilst being under pressure to meet challenging deadlines and maintaining high standards of case management.
