If you love a challenge, have a thorough knowledge of plants, enjoy hard work, and are happy to work independently, as well as alongside the garden owners, to help develop a garden of several acres, then this opportunity may be for you.

A garden planted 20 years ago to encourage wildlife, incorporates a lake with wild planting, specimen trees and shrubs, many acres of deciduous woodland, hedging, and cottage garden borders around the house.
- Looking for someone with a thorough understanding of plants and who is happy to share in a vision to assist in developing further the gardens, help create new planting areas whilst maintaining what is there.
- Somebody who will fit into this slot harmoniously, has physical stamina, loves working outside and would enjoy being part of developing a semi-wild garden, run on mainly organic principles, supporting a diverse range of wildlife.
- Work consists of, hedge cutting, weeding, mulching, clearing brambles, assistance in creating new planting areas, maintaining existing borders, cutting back willow, help with veg patch etc., and general garden maintenance.
- Able to use garden equipment and machinery.

One day a week to begin with, potentially more. Flexible with days (only occasionally at weekends)

**Salary**: £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
