Streetscene Operative

**Job Description**:
Our client in the public sector is looking for a Streetscene Operative in G66 1TF.A generous pay rate of £12.88 per hour. Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, with an unpaid 30-minute break daily. Proposed starting date of Monday 5th June through till 3rd November. A driver's licence would be beneficial but not necessary. A knowledge of horticulture would be advantageous.
Duties to include:

- Undertake frontline operations to meet the Council's requirements in relation to Streetscene operations, such as grounds maintenance, street cleansing, graffiti removal and / or cemetery provision, including a range of activities across Council properties to agreed schedule, quality, and performance standards.- Carry out daily programmed core activities and routes within a geographical area as allocated by the Squad Leader/Shift Planner to ensure consistent high standards of performance and productivity are achieved and maintained and all Service Level Agreements are met.- Carry out instructions from Squad Leaders in the delivery of tasks following management direction and support in achieving service commitments.- Operate tools, plant and machinery required for service delivery as trained.- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Council Policy, and Procedures always when using vehicles plant and equipment, including vehicle checks, maintenance and defect reporting and that all plant / equipment is kept in a safe and acceptable condition. Establish strong working relationships with team members.- Contribute positively to the successful implementation of team meetings, work programmes and work procedures to allow Best Practice to be achieved.- To work across Neighbourhood Services Operations as required to meet the overall service wide priorities in the delivery of services- Driving as required (but not essential)
