Master Scheduler

Solution 47 Recruitment have a fulltime (4.5 days per week) Master Scheduler position located near Saffron Walden on a Permament basis for an extremly sucessful, driven and friendly company who are market leaders in their field.

The Master Scheduler will take full ownership of Supply plan/Orderbook for the factory effectively optimising capacity meeting customer requirements liaising with operations, procurement, finance, Engineering, Sales desk and B.D.M’S

Creating Detailed Production Plans/Work to Lists for Section Supervisors, Machine Operators, Sales Team and all other relevant stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities - To work in a manner consistent with our quality policy, maintaining records, reporting KPI’s and developing and closing out actions plans for improvement in your scope of work, whilst supporting other, adjacent process owners
- Integrating forecast from Sales & Business Development Managers - Create and own an On time delivery supply plan monitoring the factory capacity, inventory and customer requirements

Identify risks to the OTD target and develop and support implementation of plans to reduce risks and support the return of the business to full OTD

Producing master production schedule to control production and external supply chain to Create and/or organize a production schedule on a daily basis and make sure that every output level/K.P.I is recorded appropriately in the correct system

Work hand-in-hand with other employees to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved

Work closely with procurement so as to make sure that the company’s supply needs are adequately met in a timely manner

Ensure that every employee involved in the production process has a clear understanding of what is required to meet the order and needs of customers

Rectify and/or reconcile differences and inaccuracies that have to do with shipment and deliveries to customers through relevant stakeholders

Make sure schedules are given to employees in a timely fashion and that any distortions in the company’s schedule are accounted for always

Trace production to schedule to ensure meeting committed delivery dates - Support Commercial Manager in strategic make / buy process

Conduct rough cut capacity planning

Define and implement balanced production plans and levelled schedules for optimum OEE plan

Owner of Supply Plan for SIOP process - To at all times work in a safe manner, promoting, developing and upholding the safety policies of the business for yourself and other colleagues
- Any other reasonable activities requested by the Directors or your line manager

Must have excellent communication skills so as to be able to pass the necessary information to both customers and employees ?

Must be able to work in a team environment cordially and effectively, as well as having the ability to lead a team if required to

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to relate respectfully, cordially, and freely with people (customers, employees, and all relevant stakeholders)

Must have good hands-on leadership abilities

Must be able to motivate other employees to deliver processes when needed

Must exhibit a high level of flexibility and an ability to multi-task at all times ? Must be able to work with little or no supervision

Must possess good reasoning and problem-solving abilities ? Must have the ability to work as a 'link person’ or middle person amongst customers, employees, and all relevant stakeholders ? Must have good time management ability to be able to meet up withorders and schedules ? Must be able to make use of different data base programs especially Microsoft Excel to an advanced level ? Experienced at MRP systems use ? A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position
