Position Overview

We're on the hunt for a skilled Gardener and Handyman, or a Handyman with gardening skills, to oversee the upkeep of an expansive estate in Örsundsbro, Sweden. Nestled just 50 minutes from Stockholm and within a comfortable 25-minute drive from either Uppsala or Enköping, this property features lush gardens, extensive woodlands, and several structures in need of routine care.

Core Duties

Gardening and Horticulture:

- Sculpting and trimming hedges
- Care of lawns, including mowing, edging, and managing turf across seasons
- Operating and caring for gardening machinery
- Managing tree health, encompassing pruning and disease control
- Implementing both organic and synthetic methods of pest control
- Overseeing the irrigation systems
- Propagating plants and managing greenhouse operations
- Designing and maintaining vegetable plots and flower beds
- Managing snow clearance and preparing gardens for winter

**Maintenance, Carpentry, and Handyman Responsibilities**:

- Performing jet washing and leaf blowing tasks
- Undertaking minor painting, decorating, and general repairs
- Replacing light bulbs, repairing handles, and similar tasks
- Engaging in basic woodworking projects, including constructing fences and repairing decks
- Cleaning drains and maintaining gutters
- Assembling furniture and carrying out minor plumbing repairs

**Requirements**:

- Professional certifications in horticulture preferred
- Machinery operation certifications beneficial but not required
- Authorization to work in Sweden is a must
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in gardening, preferably within a sizable private estate
- Experience with basic carpentry
- Possession of a valid driving license
- Outstanding references from previous employment

Additional Information
- Daily commuting to Örsundsbro is required
- This is a full-time, permanent role working 5 days per week
- Salary range: 28,000 to 35,000 SEK monthly, based on experience and qualifications

Seasonal Working Hours

Please note, due to the estate's geographical location and the seasonal climate variations, working hours will extend during the summer months and reduce during the winter period.

Salary Range: 2500 to 3000 euro depending on qualifications and experience
