We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic Neonatal Nursing Associates to join our teams at the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU).

Our SCBU is a 12 cot unit delivering 2 High Dependency Care cots and 10 special care cots. Our unit is part of the Thames, Valley and Wessex Operating Delivery Network who are very innovative and supportive of our staff training and development. We have a sister unit at Worthing known as Beeding SCBU and there is an expectation, in busy times, you will be expected to go and support at Worthing if needed.

You will be supporting our teams to care for babies who are requiring special care nursing on our wards. You will be caring for premature and term babies supporting parents, carers and families with their babies' care.

Ideally you should have had some children or neonatal experience and are keen to work with families to give the best holistic family integrated care. You must be a qualified Nursing Associate with registration with substantial post -registration experience. For your commitment, we will offer ongoing training and development to support you in your roles.

- Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) working within all aspects of the nursing process, providing high quality holistic and person-centred care

to individuals.
- Support the registered nurse in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care with focus on promoting health and independence.
- Carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the leadership and direction of a registered nurse or other registered care professionals dependent on setting.

- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
- Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
