Milltown Community is a small, independent and forward looking charity which has adapted, changed and is now thriving in its vision. We strive to enable adults with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible to achieve their outcomes and to live their best lives. Milltown has a relaxed environment with thriving wildlife which means, you may get a visit from some deer in the mornings. We are home to 4 Alpaca's and 4 beautiful hens. The tenants are supported to look after these animals at home and in Milltown Community Day Workshop. Milltown has so much potential and the grounds the tenants live on are bonnie even on a bleak Scottish day.

Our residential community of 6 amazing tenants are supported to live in three houses and is supplemented each day by workers and learners who are developing land based and artisan craft skills on our small holding in the village of Arbuthnott in rural South Aberdeenshire therefore a **driving licence is essential**. The tenants at Milltown Community have various additional needs and disabilities and this does not stop them from living the life they choose.

Support Workers at Milltown Community will be part of a dedicated, fun team who support to our tenants at home using a person centered approach to enable them to live as independently as possible. There is elements of lone working in the houses with tenants on a 1-1 basis. The role entails supporting the tenants with healthy eating, supporting them in the wider community to go to activities such as trampolining, swimming, cinema, football games and anything else they may choose. There are some aspects of personal care and supporting tenants with their independence skills. We are in the process of developing an activities schedule to keep each individual active in their community and at home. We welcome new ideas and people with a passion for trying something new and like a challenge.
