**Maintenance Planner**

Location: Wicham, Cheshire

8am - 5 pm

Charlton Morris is partnering with a globally-renowned producer and supplier of biocides, flame retardant chemicals, and personal care ingredients. This opportunity has become available after a great period of redirection and evolution in the company which has pushed into a great expansion.

**Further details as follows**:
As the Maintenance Planner you will support the Engineering team helping to furtherdevelop the site maintenance and asset management system, and keeping it up to date with scheduled tasks and reports.

You must be Health and Safety focused, and will provide support to Maintenance Engineering, and ultimately Production to give you a broad based understanding.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycles from front end, detailed design and system verification, validation and maintenance to ensure live updates to the system. You will manage the site stores and ensure critical spares are maintained, quarantined and logged in and out as required, this includes overseeing the maintenance budget against spend.

You must be flexible to adapt to work with all different kinds of projects at various stages of their life cycle predominately located in Wicham however, there may be occasion to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
Your work would typically involve:

- Tracking reactive maintenance on production as and when failures occur;
- Proactive scheduling maintenance to minimise the reactive maintenance;
- Development of site standards under the guidance of others;
- Being part of the project/ production team;
- Reporting regularly on progress to your manager.
- undertaking maintenance projects from initiation to completion, overseen by your manager.
- Escalate problems quickly to the Engineering Manager and where needed Production Manager and help to identify and instigate solutions.
- Ensure all projects adhere to Health and Safety legislation;
- Ensure daily communication with the maintenance team and operations.
- Carry out health and safety inspections with the H&S Manager.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

**Competencies required**:
As a Maintenance Planner, you will need:

- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work well with others
- Computer literacy;
- Understanding of risk assessments/ method statements.

**Education & Training**

You will be trained qualified to NVQ or similar or have a proven track record with relevant City & Guilds

Acceptable references for working the engineering discipline or strength in experience. Knowledge or suitable training in the following would be advantageous:

- Shire maintenance CMMS
- IEC 61508
- DSEAR
- COMPEX
- Siemens S7
- Software development (Iconics SCADA)
- Knowledge of UK Legislation (particularly CDM, HSWA)
- Health & Safety awareness and ability to ensure all comply with safety rules in the team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
