We are delighted to have been appointed to resource a talented Buyer for our valued client, who are one of the UK’s leading specialist building envelope providers with a turnover in excess of £50m.

Job Summary

The Construction Buyer will be responsible for managing all purchasing and procurement activities related to construction projects. The Buyer will be responsible for securing materials, equipment, and services needed for the project and ensuring that the right quality is obtained at the right price.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage purchasing plans, including supplier selection, cost analysis, and budget forecasting
- Negotiate terms and payment schedules with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor and control project purchasing costs
- Analyze bid documents and contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Research market conditions and new products
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities
- Participate in regular meetings with project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 3 years of purchasing experience in a construction environment
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
