As a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk for my client, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases and expenses, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and assisting with various accounting tasks, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department. I am looking for an organised and detail-oriented professional who can efficiently manage data entry tasks and ensure the smooth operation of purchase ledger.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Process invoices and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Code invoices accurately and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist in the preparation of payment runs and send remittance to suppliers.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date purchase ledger through data entry.
- File and archive documents to facilitate easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve invoice and payment-related queries.
- Respond to queries both internally and externally in a timely manner.
**Qualifications**:
- Must have previous experience in a purchase ledger or finance assistant role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate data entry.
- Have good numerical skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and finance software.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
**Salary**: £12.96 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)
- purchase ledger: 2 years (required)
