Edinburgh, United Kingdom NatWest Group Full time

Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as a Financial Crime Standards Design & Delivery Lead
- Working closely with our operational, franchise, and second line of defence (SLOD) colleagues, you’ll be responsible for the design and delivery of One Bank Standards for Financial Crime to support the execution and assurance of policy compliant processes across the Financial Crime Design & Controls (FC&C) Hub
- You’ll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing upstream risk and policy changes to ensure the design and governance of our Financial Crime (FC) standards, guidance, and business risk appetite framework
- We’ll look to you to ensure FC standards are interpreted and applied bank wide to drive consistency and assurance across our FC hub and franchise processes and systems
- This is senior leadership role in which you’ll ultimately be protecting both the bank and our customers

**What you'll do**:
This role will see you lead a programme of change activity to define One Bank Standards for execution and assurance of financial crime compliance activity across the Hub, aligned to bank policy. In collaboration with key stakeholders, you’ll define and implement new FCC standards for execution and assurance aligned to bank policy to detect and prevent financial crime in a timely manner.

You’ll support our technology and transformation teams in interpretating standards for implementation in strategic financial crime systems. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the Hub to advise on interpretation of standards and how these can be operationalised in a consistent way, bank wide, to mitigate financial crime risk.

You’ll deliver relevant specialist risk activity and support to build credible and realistic plans to design and embed FC standards and guidance in line with bank risk appetite. Further, you’ll work in partnership with our SLOD to:

- Ensure a consistent definition of standards aligned to bank risk appetite, our policy, and external regulations
- Monitor upcoming financial crime legislation and regulations, and take responsibility for conducting impact assessments on our standards for our first line of defence
- Design and deliver major policy framework changes and realignment to our standards
- Implement a BAU operating model to include a standards gateway to manage future policy changes and their impact on the FC hub standards and operating procedures
- Provide advisory support on interpretation of standards to the operations, franchises, and strategic change programmes

**The skills you'll need**:
We’re also looking for:

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at senior levels and collaborate across the organisation
- Strong change management skills and the ability to develop plans and make decisions aligned to the strategic objectives of the bank and the FCC Hub
- The ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information, alternatives, and associated consequences
- Experience of leading teams with diverse roles and responsibilities
