CAD Design Engineer

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Middleton, Office Based

Hours: Monday to Thursday (8.30-5.30) Friday (8.30-3) - Office-based role

**Salary**: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Company & Role:
Our client is going through a large period of growth; therefore, they are looking for 2 new CAD Designers to join their team. Ideally, you will have experience using Solidworks within an engineering-related environment.
You will be joining a very successful and well-established company who are leaders in their industry. They design to make an impact. If successful, you will be responsible for designing bespoke architectural lighting projects. If you enjoy new challenges, then please continue reading.

Example of Responsibilities:
Use Solidworks to improve previous lighting designs and produce virtual models/technical drawings of the products.
Work alongside the sales team to understand the client briefs and answer any technical queries there may be.
Put together presentations for design proposals.
Work with the production team to produce final drawings before they go to manufacturing.
Communicate with the suppliers to get customised lighting elements as well as pricing and manufacturing information.
Have knowledge of industry trends which will lead to new product designs.
Create user guides and manuals for projects.
Come up with cost-effective solutions.

Experience Required:
Ideally, 2+ Years experience using Solidworks (Autodesk Inventor will be considered) in a multi-disciplinary engineering sector.
Basic understanding of Adobe suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail.
Understand multi-material manufacturing technologies, processes, and installation.
Able to commute to the office daily.
