We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional to join an exceptional school in Harrow as the Head of Physical Education (PE). This full-time position is set to commence in September, allowing you to contribute to the school's commitment to providing high-quality sports and physical education.

We are seeking an inspirational leader who possesses a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering a love for physical activity, and nurturing students' sportsmanship and teamwork. As the Head of PE, you will be responsible for leading the PE department, developing the curriculum, coaching school teams, and organizing sporting events and competitions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the PE department, providing strategic vision and direction
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum
- Organize and oversee school sporting events, competitions, and extracurricular activities
- Coach school sports teams and encourage student participation
- Evaluate and assess student performance in PE
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical activity into the school curriculum
- Maintain and manage sports equipment and facilities

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialization in Physical Education or a related field
- Proven experience teaching PE, preferably in a leadership role
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles
- Excellent knowledge of sports and physical education programs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in organizing sporting events and competitions
- Ability to coach school sports teams
- Commitment to student achievement and holistic development

**Salary**

Paid to scale on MPS/UPS
