Our **Evesham**site are now recruiting for a **Driver Trainer**on a full time basis.

**Working hours**: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30

The purpose of a **Driver Trainer**is to ensure drivers are assessed before employment and then fully trained in line with Company policy and standards from commencement of employment and throughout their career. To ensure a consistent approachto training and the delivery of national initiatives / campaigns, and to evaluate their success.

Key Duties of a Driver Trainer:

- To deliver all aspects of training to the drivers, including vehicle and trailer specific familiarisation, SAFED training and Driver CPC.
- To assess potential new drivers, both permanent and agency.
- To plan and deliver the induction plan for new drivers
- To ensure training records are kept up to date and files are maintained.
- To update and brief SSOW processes and associated documentation to the drivers
- To ensure drivers are familiar with existing equipment and are trained and proficient on new equipment
- To ensure the drivers licence entitlements are valid as part of pre-employment process.
- To assist with the maintenance of the Tachomaster system including Risk Profiling.
- To Issue Driving/Working Time infringements.
- To review drivers infringements, arrange re-training when necessary
- To work with the Operations and Fleet managers to review any motor vehicle accidents, ensuring root cause analysis is carried out and arranging re-training
- To maintain communication between the Drivers and the operational teams to ensure all training requirements are achieved

**Qualifications**
- HGV Driving Licence - full, clean C+E
- Training Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of working as HGV driver
- Previous experience of driver training, including the creation of training plans and guidelines and the subsequent delivery of training them to drivers is a must
- CPC National Road Haulage is desirable
- HGV Driving Instructor qualification is desirable
- Level 3 Award - Education and Training is desirable
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
