The basic Salary: £21,903 pro rata, rising to £22,434 pro rata, and again to £22,980 pro rata in two annual increments.
Contract Length: 12 Months
Wiltshire Police are recruiting two Central Call Handling (CCH) Operators, to join a busy team triaging 101 calls at first point of contact, ensuring each call is dealt with appropriately. You will triage calls based on a Threat, Harm, Risk and Vulnerability assessment, dealing with a range of calls for service, such as vehicle collisions, thefts of property, firearms incidents, assaults, anti-social behaviour, missing people and requests for advice or help from people at their time of need.
You will have an excellent telephone manner and the ability to assess situations quickly, ask appropriate questions and offer reassurance and advice to the public, whilst remaining calm and focused.
You will need to be able to work under pressure in a challenging, fast paced and rewarding environment.
Vacancy Details:

We currently have two fixed term, part time positions available for a period of one year. Offering 25.5 hours per week on a rolling shift pattern with 12.5% unsocial payment and 16 hours per week with no unsocial hours payment.
Shift Pattern - working hours:

Our Central Call Handling teamwork a range of hours from 0800 - midnight and we are looking for individuals that are flexible and able to cover a shift pattern - Please see CCH Shift Pattern Attached to the advert.
Training:

You will receive 1:1 tutoring for a period of 3 weeks, alongside required initial training.
Work location:

Your base will be at Devizes Headquarters.
