**Till Supervisor**

**Responsibility**:To carry out the day to day running of the garden centre tills, manage and train till staff. Morning till set up, monitoring daily cash flow, and evening till closure and cashing up.

**Location**: Chepstow Garden Centre

**Working Pattern**: Every other weekend Saturday 9:00am - 5:30pm Sunday 10:00am 5:00pm

Tuesday 10:30am - 4:30pm

Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm

(Please note these hours may increase or decrease by half an hour with notice due to quite or busy times of the year).

We are currently looking for a Second till Supervisor to work alongside our current senior till supervisor to cover opposite shifts. Your aim to ensure the highest standards of service, housekeeping and performance are achieved. You should be happy and confident to approach and help customers. Be willing to learn and good customer service is essential. You should be able to multi-task and work on your own. To be available for duties across the whole of the garden centre as required.

**Main Duties**:
This is a Part time role reporting to the Senior till Supervisor & Shop Floor Manager. You will be responsible for:

- Supervising all Till Operators using the computerised tills and barcode scanners.
- Processing vouchers and other promotional materials
- Maintaining adequate ongoing Staff training
- Ensuring compliance with all the legal requirements about age restrictions (Eg Alcohol & knives)
- Daily care of the tills department including cleaning & security
- Providing support in other areas of the business when needed

**Requirements**:

- Will be a good communicator and be able to achieve high quality customer care.
- Will be able to work under pressure, quickly and accurately.
- Will be numerate and be comfortable handling money.
- Will be able to work unsupervised and use their own initiative.
- Will be confident with the ability to be diplomatic when dealing with customer issues.
- Retail experience is preferred but not essential
