Handy Man

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable "Handy Man" (or Women) to join our team. As a Handy Man, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our residential flats. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, and minor electrical repairs
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues or potential hazards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff (not direct from residents)
- Install and repair fixtures, appliances, and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
- Solid knowledge of general maintenance processes and techniques
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

**Skills**:

- Carpentry: Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks such as repairing or installing shelves, cabinets, doors, kitchens etc.
- Plumbing: Knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to fix leaks, unclog drains, replace faucets, etc.
- Electrical Repairs: Familiarity with electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues.
- Painting: Experience in painting walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate techniques.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ability to inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment used in maintenance work.
- Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify issues, analyze problems, and find effective solutions.
- Time Management: Skill in managing time efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines.

Previous Handy man is leaving for pastures new after 6 years of a very good working relationship.

Tools provided, Minimal driving required, and free parking.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
