**Payroll Advisor - 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday**

**What are we looking for?**

We are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Advisor to join our Payroll Team. You will be responsible for processing payroll and providing support and guidance on payroll related matters to our clients. The role can be based in our Dundee, Perth, Crieff, Forfar, Montrose or Brechin Office full time or can be home based with travel to one of our offices a couple of days a week.

**What are the duties and responsibilities?**
- Setting up new clients on Payroll software.
- Gathering historical and relevant current data to commence payroll services.
- Providing support to employees by sharing technical knowledge and guidance.
- Assisting the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Manager with complex or unusual payroll related matters.
- Processing payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Exchanging and collating all relevant payroll information from each client in a complete and secure manner.
- Processing and payment of workplace pension contributions under the regulatory framework.
- Creating payroll reports and payslips.
- Ensuring the secure exchange of payroll information to clients whilst allowing sufficient time to make payments.
- Processing employee payment and PAYE payment where necessary.
- Monthly and quarterly reporting of PAYE liability to clients.
- Liaising with clients on all aspects of payroll to ensure accuracy of data produced.
- Responding in a timely manner to client request

- Has experience of working in a payroll bureau environment is essential

- Works well in a team as well as independently
- Who is excellent at time management and meeting deadlines
- Ability to correspond with clients, HMRC and colleagues by phone, face-to-face or via electronic or paper communications in a professional and timely manner.
- Completes all assigned tasks to the expected standard by the agreed deadline.
