The programme

knowledge allowing you to develop personal skills whilst interfacing and building relationships with people in the business. We provide full training which includes an induction programme and development programme.

The Team

This role sits within the SEUK Financial Accounting Team, which is split into 3 sub-teams, and manages Financial Reporting, Internal Control, Fixed Assets, Treasury & Intercompany for all business areas within the legal entity of Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited.

The role - purpose

You will work within the team to gain knowledge and understanding of the core elements of double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards. You will provide support in ensuring accounting standards are applied within the business, through risk reporting, management and financial compliance. You will be involved with the drafting of the company’s financial statements.

The role - key objectives & responsibilities

Involvement within both the internal & external company audits

Review the coding of invoices and work with the processing team

Take ownership of specific shared costs for the company and develop a more efficient process for their computation and allocation

Month end responsibilities

Assist the Intercompany Accountant at quarter ends to ensure tight deadlines met

Gather information for the drafting of financial statements

Opportunity for cross-training and development within the Financial Accounting Team

Required qualifications and skills:

- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
- Provide Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the programme
- Results driven, organised, analytical, customer focused, strong communicator and team player
- Able to start September 2023
